Weyrbowl The Weyrbowl is the heart of activity in the Weyr, containing the star rocks and entrance to the Weyr, leading directly to the Dining Hall. Higher up, ringing the inside of the bowl, are various dragons' weyrs. |

Rider's Weyrs The personal weyrs for dragons who have reached adulthood. They live here with their riders. |

Dining Hall The Dining Hall is where the majority of the Weyr's residents take their meals. The kitchens are nearby and always staffed. There is nearly always food available for peckish riders. |

Lower Caverns The lower caverns are where the Weyr's non-rider residents live and work. They are built into a natural cave system and it is quite easy to get lost in some of the lesser used tunnels. |

Candidate Barracks The candidate barracks are located by lower caverns and it is where the candidates live before Impressing. There are two rows of barracks, one for male candidates and the other for females, and a large common area between them where lessons take place. Up to four candidates can live in one room, though there'll usually be less unless there's a particularly large clutch on the sands. |

Weyrling Barracks The weyrling barracks are located in the western edge of the Weyr nearer to the feeding grounds. Two weyrlings and their dragons live in each barrack, sometimes three, depending on size. |

Hatching Sands A large, spacious chamber at the western edge of the Weyrbowl, it is filled with heated sand and lined with stands where spectators can sit to watch hatchings. A large gold's clutch or several smaller clutches can fit on the sands at one time. During hatchings, a table with rags and buckets of meat is set up on the sands for newly-Impressed riders to clean and feed their new bond-mates. |

The Weyr Lake - 1 Viewing Located just outside Alietran Weyr, this is where dragons go to bathe or just play in the water. Humans also use it for various purposes. |

The Forests The forests that surround Alietran are thick and extensive. It is plentiful in small game, though aside from the occasional wild wherry, there is little that would satisfy a dragon. |
