Sunny Day {Open}

Cass was still red, but she turned towards A'lik, a smaller smile on her face, one that was a lot sweeter. She debated the urge that she had at that moment to lean over and kiss him at that moment. She wasn't quite sure what was wrong with her. Maybe it was Hasth's Flight. "I am glad Moruth will be chasing Hasth when she Flies. I think he has a good chance, even though... there is always the chance that he won't..."

Hasth was partial to Browns, though, which would only help Moruth in her Flight in the long-run. She didn't even think about it as she leaned into him again gently, this time, not moving. She was slightly more playful, but felt a little bit more... flirtatious as well. She wasn't sure what to make of it. She was almost positive that it had more to do with her dragoness than with her. Her dragon was irritable... but also flirtatious with select dragons.

And speak of the little devil, here she came right now, right on cue. She gave a croon as she landed near the brown and walked over slowly. Hello Moruth~ she said to the Brown, her tone sweet. She was in a flirtatious mood which could quickly turn to irritable if she was given reason.

Cass almost winced. She hoped that Hasth didn't have a reason. Please behave, love...

Of course, CassMine. Hasth gave a snort at her rider.

Cass glared at the Green for a moment then sighed and let it go. there wasn't any point glares and such were lost on the Green for the moment.

A'lik smiled warmly when Cassondra turned back around and faced him again. He could see that she was still red, but there was a small smile on her face, one that didn't seem like she was that embarassed anymore. There is always a chance that Moruth will loose, and there is always a chance that he will win Cass. You just have to let Hasth make her decision, and who ever wins her flight wins. That's that, nothing more, nothing less. His words were meant to help the woman relax, but with the way the sounded to the man as they came out, he doubted she would understand what he had truly meant by them. His thoughts came to and abrupt end when Cass leaned into him, and didn't move away.

Moruth turned his head away from the two humans when he heard the wing beats of another dragon. He crooned lightly to the green as she approached. Thankfully Moruth's large head was already at eye level with the small green, otherwise he would have to look down on her, and at that moment he didn't think that was a good idea. Greetings Hasth, your hide is beautiful as ever. The brown gave his usual compliment to the green, not really thinking that he would have to change anything about the way he treated her just because she was about to fly. Instead he would treat her as his friend just like he always did. His large eyes swirled in amusement when he heard the green dragon snort at the woman that was on his leg.

He opened his large wings further to shade the green, just as he was with the two riders. What she did with that was up to her. A'lik smiled, and tried to stifle a laugh that forced it's way out through his hand, and sounded like snickering. He wasn't trying to make fun of his friend, but he couldn't help but find the reaction of dragon to rider funny. After all, his own dragon was amuzed by it. You two definately have a...ah...different...relationship. he couldn't think of any other way to say that, which was probably a bad thing, but he didn't care at that moment. He had his arm around Cassondra, not in a relationship way, but the way friends do when they walk together down the street. He also knew that the two of them would still be friends, no matter who won Hasth's flight.

[Zara]

"Yeah... I have a suspicion, though, that even without my influence... the dragon who wins her Flight will be Brown. She is quite partial to them, that's for sure." She smiled slightly, though she wasn't looking at him, content to lean against him and feeling a certain sense of comfort from that. He was a good friend, especially to put up with her like this and give her some good advice as well. And try to comfort her and make her laugh.

She hoped that the Weyrleader wouldn't be opposed to whoever it was who won Hasth's Flight. She was almost positive it would be a Brown. Hopefully he wouldn't be wanting it to be a Bronze and nothing else. She didn't want to influence Hasth in that way either. Nor did Hasth show interest in many of the Bronzes. Just a select few.

The Greenlifted her wings a little bit and settled them, enjoying the complement a little bit more than usual today. Thank you Moruth. How is you and yours? Her tone was somewhat flirtatious, although the question was completely normal for her to ask the large Brown. She walked towards Moruth and curled up, laying down in the shade of one of his large wings, her eyes swirling colors of contentment for the moment.

Cassondra grinned a little. "We get along fine most of the time. You know pretty well that Hasth doesn't just go around snorting at me." She gently bumped him, even if they were still sitting very close together. She still didn't move away, just sitting there in a friendly companionship. She couldn't help but wonder, though, if Moruth were to win Hasth' flight... What would become of their friendship?

A'lik listened to Cassondra's words quietly as she spoke. He had noticed that the green did like the browns. He kind of chuckled at the thought of such a small green mating with such a large brown, but made sure to keep his thoughts to himself, and away from his dragon. Don't worry Cass, Hasth will pick the right dragon when the time comes, and you will do just fine no matter who it is that wins. His voice was that of a caring friend, and that is what he was. At least, for now, and that is the way he was going to stay for as long as needed. Which meant that if Moruth didn't win Hasth's flight, he would be there for her whenever she needed him.

Mine is well, though he is a little embarassed because Your's made fun of him. It truly was funny Hasth. I am also well, and what of you? I have seen Your's, but not you. Moruth crooned as he responded to Hasth's question. He watched with swirling blue/green eyes as the green dragon made herself comfortable in the shade of his large brown wings. I know Cass, it's just like how Moruth doesn't just go around making fun of me either. A'lik gave his brown dragon an affectionate pat on his leg as he spoke, and was rewarded with a contented croon. He laughed a little when Cass bumped him, and he bumped her back. Are we going to start this again? He looked at the green rider as he spoke, a mischievious, yet playful, grin on his face.

Cass sighed and nodded, feeling rather content there. She felt safe with A'lik. Safer than with most people. And she didn't feel there was ever a time when she needed to be manipulative with him. He was one of the few. A'lik and Sitka tended to fall into that category, but most others didn't. "Thank you, A'lik... I hope she doesn't pick the dragon of a rider I don't like, though," she said, and gave a brief laugh, shaking her head. She knew that was a possibility... But really only if Hasth chose a dragon of a very select small group of Riders. She also felt nervous about the fact that Hasth might choose Cherith. She felt uncomfortable around the Weyrleader and she was afraid of what might happen if the Bronze were to win, but she didn't say as much.

She pays him back what he gives others, Hasth's comment was accompanied by a snort and then some draconic laughter. I am doing alright. I have been in the weyr for much of the day. Mine has gone out without me. Her tone was almost slightly dismissive of the whole thing, though she was actually not overly pleased with Cass for leaving her all alone all day. She had wanted her to stay with her.

Cass couldn't help but laugh at that comment. "Well, he is your dragon. I just like to tease you," she said with a grin, the comment from earlier returning to her thoughts. She poked him in the side, not hard. Cass grinned when eh asked her if they were going to start this again and she grinned. "Maybe. Whose to say?" Her grin was happy, though she was having to hide the flirtatious undertone that she was feeling. She didn't want it to show.

A'lik relaxed as he sat on his dragon's leg, with Cassondra leaning on him. He was happy here, and it seemed that his dragon was happy with Hasth's company as well. He laughed when he heard her comment about Hasth picking a dragon who's rider she just so happened to not like. You worry to much Cass. He shook his head at her as he spoke. She needed to relax. You have to let things happen the way they will. Everything will work itself out in the end. His voice was slightly chastising as he spoke to the woman. She really did worry too much.

I am sure yours meant nothing by it Hasth. Mine has done the same thing before. Moruth twitched his tail a little as he spoke. He shook his large head before laying once again between his large front paws, but not before yawning loudly. GROSS!!!!! You mind keeping that nasty breath of yours pointed the other way please? Ugh that stinks! He waved a hand in front of his face trying to get the smell of rotten meat and blood out of his nose. The large dragon rumbled with laughter, he hadn't done that on purpose, but was now glad that he did. The large brown needed some entertainment, after all, he was getting bored since he had not really done anything in a couple of days.

[Zara]

"Probably." Was all she said in response, frowning. It was true in this respect, that much she knew for sure. She poked him again. "Letting things happen is difficult." She poked him a little harder because of his tone. She hated it when he did that too her, though she had only ever said so once.

I know she didn't. The fact didn't help the Green, though, and she didn't really know why. It wasn't the first time Cassondra had left her in their weyr on her own.

Cassondra waved a hand in front of her face. "Oh... Gosh! Moruth!" She put a hand over her mouth and nose, trying not to cough out of reflex. It really was absolutely disgusting. Rotten meat, blood and so on... She really wanted it out of her nose and right away.

Hasth swished her tail slightly before curling it around herself. She could help but laugh draconicly as Moruth yawned and the reaction of the two humans. She was rather enjoying this.

"It isn't funny..." Cass said, her words muffled by her hand.

A'lik's lips quirked up in a sort of half-smile, half- frown type thing. I know it is Cass, but you just have to let them happen. If Hasth chooses Moruth, she chooses Moruth, if she chooses someone else, she chooses someone else. He shrugged as he spoke, it didn't really affect him the way it would others, then again, he was pretty strange. He grunted a little when she poked him harder than last time. He knew she didn't like it when he chastised her, but sometimes she just needed it. All people needed chastised once in a while, even himself, though, he won't admit it. Though he still had his head turned away from his dragon's breath he smiled at the woman next to him.

Moruth's tail twiched a couple times before becoming still once again. He needed to do something or he was going to crazy. He grumbled loudly as he lifted his head again. Alright you big lug. Alright Cass, I guess I'll see you later. The over grown weyrling here wants to go do something. A'lik shook his head at his dragon, it seemed like all he wanted to do was work, which was actually probably a good thing, though A'lik had started getting used to the laid back pace the two of them had been going at for the past few days. A'lik jumped off of Moruth's large leg, holding out a hand for Cassondra if she needed, or even wanted, his help off the large dragon's legs.

Cass wondered vaguely if he was saying he -wanted- Moruth to catch her Green. If he was, then she was surprised, but she wasn't sure and just let it lie, again not thinking too much about it for fear of having Hasth's choice taken from her. She didn't say anything. She thought it was best they didn't carry on in this particular vain any further.

Cass reached out her hand to take A'lik's. It was a long way down from up here. As soon as she was on the ground, she gave him a quick hug. "Hopefully it won't be so long next time until I see you again." He was her friend and she had missed him. A lot. "I'll see you later. Maybe at dinner or something..." She looked at Moruth and laughed, shaking her head. "I won't repeat myself."

Hasth stood and looked at Moruth. It has been good to see you, Moruth... she said to the much larger Brown. she was very small compared to him and she was a bit more to the smaller side of the Green's size spectrum... Which made her look rather dwarfed next to him.

Cassondra looked back at Hasth who was looking at Moruth. Yeah... it would be a little strange to have a small Green be caught by such a large Brown.
