Rain and thunderstorms are commonplace; it's getting rare to see a clear and sunny sky at Alietran, but it keeps the heat from becoming stifling.

A grey's clutch is hardening on the sands and the searchriders are riding out to the Holds to find candidates for it. Not all the Holders are happy with the intrusion, however. Not only that, the election for the new Weyrleader is coming up soon as well.
