Physical Appearance: Sitka is of average height, with a somewhat stocky but well-muscled build. She has always been an unusually healthy person, almost never getting sick, and she likes to keep herself in shape. She could be considered somewhat attractive, but most people would not call her beautiful. Her skin is light, usually tanned from spending time outdoors, and her eyes are wide and a light, golden brown color. Her hair is a reddish-brown color and very straight, reaching down to her shoulderblades. She puts it into a braid when flying, but otherwise prefers to leave it loose.
Personality: Sitka's quiet and very discrete; she knows how to keep a secret and is extremely loyal to her friends. She is always willing to help and support those she is close to, but she can also be kind of shy and strangers are likely to get the cold shoulder until she gets to know them a bit. She is making an effort to be more outgoing.
She is generous, but careless with her belongings and often loses things and lets them fall apart. She's lived a rather privileged life with her father and never wanted for money. She can be rather rebellious towards authority figures and doesn't always do what she's told, especially if she doesn't like the person in charge. It really doesn't matter whether the orders are good or bad, either, so she has made mistakes before because of ignoring good advice.
Sitka likes children and would like to have some of her own someday, though certainly not any time soon. She enjoys spending time outdoors and spends much of her free time hiking or flying on Wapitith. She has a mild fear of dark or enclosed spaces so doesn't spend more time indoors than she needs to, and always has a glowbasket lit in her personal weyr.
History: Sitka was born to a journeyman healer and a female drudge at the Healerhall. Her parents never really had a close relationship and she's always been closer to her father than her mother. She is her father's only child, though she has several half-siblings on her mother's side from other affairs. She was never particularly close to them growing up, however, preferring to spend time with her father. Growing up in the healer hall, it was unsurprising that she chose to become an apprentice once she was old enough. It was also around this time that her father gave her a fire lizard egg he'd purchased as a gift, knowing how Sitka had always wanted a pet of her own. The egg hatched into a bronze flitter which she named Anno.
Four years later, Sitka was doing well as a healer and she was getting close to walking the tables. When she was sixteen, though, dragons came from Alietran Weyr, searching for candidates for the Weyr's latest clutch. The clutchmother was a young queen, Eynalth, whose rider Kolyka had just recently become Senior due to the death of her predecessor, a much older Weyrwoman. Sitka accepted the search eagerly, but soon learned things were tense at the Weyr, as already the new Weyrwoman was sickening and it was having an effect on her dragon, whose first two clutches were both quite small, as well as once allowing herself to be caught by a brown. The Weyr was worried that her rider would die and they would be left without a gold.
Sure enough, only a few days before the hatching of the clutch, Kolyka died, leaving gold Eynalth without a rider and a clutch on the sands getting ready to hatch.
During the hatching, Sitka stood with the rest of the candidates, wondering what would come from the clutch and hoping she would Impress. Near the end of the hatching, the queen finally went between for the final time, though there were still a handful of dragonets who had yet to Impress. Sitka was one of the candidates left over who witnessed the death of the gold. Soon after, she was comforted by a new voice in her head, one that told her not to be afraid--She looked up and set her eyes on a large and striking green hatchling, and the dragonet told Sitka that her name was Wapitith.
Now a greenrider, Sitka and Wapitith progressed through weyrling training. Before they could start firestone training, they were approached by some of the wingleaders of the Weyr. Since it was the middle of an Interval and gold eggs were rare enough as it was, none of the other Weyrs could spare Alietran a gold, so some of the bronzeriders had the idea to restrict some of the weyrling greens from chewing firestone in hopes that they would clutch. Since Wapitith was one of the largest greens of the clutch, they chose her, along with two other greens, to become clutchers, and Sitka eventually became the wingleader of the "Queen"'s Wing.
When it came time for Wapitith to mate, the former Weyrleader, L'cal, wanted her to be caught by his own dragon, or one of the other bronzes, in the hopes that she might lay a queen egg. Sitka disagreed, and instead allowed Wapitith to be caught by her close friend, a blue rider. This has caused a great deal of strife between them, and nobody's sure what will come from Wapitith's clutch.
Of course, they never could have expected the egg that hatched into a garnet named Amaranth. It was something nobody had ever seen before, and if nothing else, Wapitith will likely go down in history as the mother of the first sub-queen. At Alietran, life goes on, however. Sitka was instrumental in subduing the poisoner who killed Kolyka and tried to kill Kalgar, and she even managed to pick up a new flitter egg sired by Anno, which hatched into green Mouse.

His body is a fairly uniform golden-bronze color with a stripe of darker bronze running down his spine, from his head to his tail.
Personality: Friendly and outgoing, like his owner and her bond, Anno likes to make friends and soaks up attention from whoever will give it to him. He is a glutton for sweets and not above begging strangers for food, no matter how much Sitka discourages him. He is highstrung and easily frightened, so with the exception of Wapitith and a few other smaller greens, he tends to stay away from dragons.

She is a very soft-spoken firelizard, and seems almost shy, but she is extremely protective of her owner. She will almost never let them out of her site for very long, and gets really upset when she can't find them, or they leave her behind.

She relies on Sitka to get her out of trouble, but she is very supportive of Sitka and her friends and is always willing to help out in whatever way she can. She is not a very attentive mother and doesn't watch the eggs as closely as she should, so a few eggs turning dud would not be surprising in her clutch. She gets impatient quickly and would much prefer to be outdoors actually doing stuff. She enjoys flying with Sitka and particularly likes playing in the snow in the winter.
