Name: Nyxaria
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Birthdate (Season): Winter
Location: Alietran Weyr
Rank: Wingrider/Dragonhealer
Wing (if applicable): Icy Storm Wing
Family:
Talanyx –Father (Healer)
Rialla – Mother (Healer)
Physical Appearance:
Nyxaria is quite pretty. She has long, dark brown hair and matching dark brown eyes that can seem almost black. Her skin is slightly dusky and dark freckles appear here and there. She has a slim, athletic build with soft, feminine features. She stands at five foot seven and moves with the lithe and purposeful grace of a hunting wild cat. She has a strong presence that does not often go unnoticed.
Personality:
She is definitely a leader, not a follower. She is independent, opinionated (which isn’t always a good thing), and has self-confidence to share. When she wants to learn, her hard-headed alpha personality gets buried beneath an active and attentive student personality that is very unlike her. She is a fast learner because she focuses her full attention on what is being taught, if indeed she WANTS to learn it. It is the only time she easily takes direction and orders for she is willing to do anything to reach her goals. For those that can handle her rather overwhelming personality and become friends with her, she becomes very loyal and protective of them. If you hurt one of her friends, she takes it as a personal injury and you can be sure she’ll get back at you, and with her intelligence and creativity you will never expect it.
Nyxaria can often be arrogant and she has quite the ego. She could often stand to be knocked down a peg and gets on a lot of people’s nerves. If she’s stuck up, she certainly doesn’t try to be and is not really aware of it. She is tirelessly stubborn and once she has made up her mind no one can change it and she is quite vocal about it. She is not afraid to speak her mind and give her opinion even if it was not asked for or wanted. Even though she’s 21, she still has a bit of maturing to do and needs to get over the self entitlement that she does not believe she has. She also has a bit of a problem with authority and could use a lesson in humility and obedience. With her ‘Alpha Female’ personality, she finds it hard to take orders quietly. She does not forgive and forget easily. If you betray her, you can expect to feel the full heat of her wrath and she will NEVER allow you back into her life.
History:
Born and raised in Torrel Hold, her father and mother were both Healers and she was to follow in their footsteps and was quite happy at the prospect. However, only one Turn after she had been formally apprenticed, she was Searched. Now, the prospect of becoming a dragonrider was not something that entirely appealed to her, but then she was told there was a Gold egg on the sands. She agreed to Candidacy and only a month later the eggs hatched.
She was quite confident that she would Impress the Gold and only barely registered other dragonets hatchings and Impressing around her. Her gaze hardly left the trembling Gold egg and she made sure to stand as near to it as possible. Then it happened, the Gold hatched… and Impressed to another. She couldn’t believe it and was turning to walk off the sands when her path was blocked by a slim, shadowy Green, her eyes whirling red with anger. The Green promptly inquired as to why she was staring at a sharding Gold when her Tanith was starving to death right in front of her, and why on Pern had she been ignoring her?
There was that brief ecstasy of Impression as she walked away with her new dragon, intending to feed her. Slowly the realization that she had Impressed a Green and not a Gold came over her, and with it a disappointment as well. Tanith sensed this, of course, and reacted angrily, telling her new rider sarcastically that she was sooo sorry she hadn’t hatched out with a gleaming golden hide. Since then the two have had a rather strained relationship, at times having a sort of guarded mutual respect for each other and at other times outright bickering. As all dragon and rider pairs, they of course DO actually care about each other and if either of them were in immediate danger or badly wounded, the other would be frantic, however unless the worst happens, neither will ever show that they care at all for the other.
After her Weyrlinghood was over Nyxaria looked to combine her previous healing knowledge with her new life as a dragonrider and began studying dragonhealing. She now has a good handle on the matter and is rather good at it, perhaps thanks to her previous healer training and the knowledge she gained of the craft from her parents. She aspires to be a great dragonhealer if she can’t be a great Weyrwoman.

Name: Tanith
Color: Green (Fighter)
Size: 29 feet
Age: 7 Turns
Clutch Parents: Gold Sirith x Bronze Cherith
Physical Appearance:
Tanith is on the larger end for a Green and is a muted, foresty shade of green. Her hide is uniformly colored with no distinguishing markings or scars. Her left headnob sticks out slightly crookedly and her wings are long and narrow. She is very well proportioned and moves with a predatory feline grace, always in control of every move she makes down to the slightest twitch of her tail, giving off a hint of some hidden danger about her.
Personality:
Long term goals? What on earth do those mean to a dragon? Tanith forgets all her past mistakes: she has no desire to improve herself. Why should she? She exists to enjoy herself. The world exists for her. Waking up on time for drills? Going out of her way to exert herself in the interest of a better future? Unnecessary. Tanith might very well attempt to spend an entire day sleeping if she thought it would prove a point: she does what she likes when she feels like it. Sycophants and admirers are a dime a dozen. Tanith is far too strong-minded to depend on flattery, to stoop so low as to be petty or jealous of other greens (being jealous implies she has something to fear - or that the available males are even worth being jealous over!) While Tanith might take satisfaction in being flattered and feared, she doesn’t need it, nor does she really want it.
Tanith aims high. Her nature is contrary, her sudden shifts of temper bleak. If she can’t have it, she must have it: that’s all there is to it. And she’s not stupid: she’s strong, and predatory, and dangerous. If she really wanted something, she wouldn’t be asking you to get it for her: she would have already gotten it for herself. There's a grim streak to her: a lonely sort of ruthlessness: a personality that both pushes away and pursues those she most holds dear. What a strange, sad little girl Nyxaria is! Bound by rules and beliefs and wanting so much! A challenge, a puzzle, her constant complaint and yet the only human being who’s worth spending any time around. Tanith knows Nyxaria didn’t want a green. She felt it. And – like the cat that comes into the room and sits down on the lap of the one person who can’t stand them – she chose her. Because, Tanith figured, if Nyxaria didn’t want her? Then Nyxaria must be desirable. Then Nyxaria must be the best one to have. And if there’s anything this dragon is simultaneously drawn to and cannot stand, it’s being told no.
