1. No Mary Sues or Gary Stus. Characters should be realistic, with realistic flaws and histories.
2. There is no limit on rare features like red or blonde hair or uncommon eye colors; the playable characters make up such a small percentage of the total population that it doesn't really matter. Just try to keep in mind that things like red hair or green or blue eyes are relatively rare.
3. HADs and the like are unlikely to be accepted. If you have a HAD character you really want to play here, you can request to put it in the application, with the understanding that more likely than not, the HAD part will be rejected.
4. Candidates should be between 12 and 22 turns of age. Younger and older characters can still Impress, but they would do so from the stands and should be relatively rare. Same goes for candidates with disabilities; unless they're extremely mild and unlikely to interfere with the duties of a dragonrider, they would not be allowed to stand, but may occasionally Impress from the stands. (Should you have an older candidate who was submitted while still of-age but ages out of candidacy because I haven't found a dragon for them yet, rest assured, they will be able to Impress from the stands.)
5. Do not god-mod or attempt to control the reactions of other people's characters, unless the owner has already given permission.
6. When making new rider characters, keep in mind that mutation colors can have hatched no earlier than turn 195 of the Interval; some may be further restricted. Pay attention to when the color appeared.
