Physical Appearance:
Roruzon is a lightly muscled young man with a slighter frame than most, standing at five foot ten. His hair is jet black and short, but slightly shaggy and sometimes gets in his eyes. The only slightly remarkable thing about his appearance is his eye color. With his black hair and somewhat dusky skin, the light blue-green of his eyes is striking in comparison and sometimes gives others’ pause due to their somewhat haunting beauty.

Personality:
He often feels the need to prove his worth and can be something of a daredevil, seemingly unafraid of the consequences of his actions. Once he has made up his mind, he is tirelessly stubborn and will not change it for any reason. However he is on the quiet side and doesn’t often speak unless spoken to first. He finds it hard to make friends and isn’t at all social, often feeling as though he is being judged by others even when it isn’t true, he therefore prefers solitude.

His tireless stubbornness can sometimes be a strength, for when he puts his mind to a task he perseveres until it is done, no matter the costs. He works hard and refuses to give up in order to prove his worth to himself and everyone around him. He has a sort of silent strength and a seemingly endless calm that can sometimes be encouraging to others and helps them to stay calm in stressful situations. Those few that break through his silent shell are rewarded with endless loyalty, for gaining Roruzon’s trust is not easy and is generally proof enough to him that you mean him well and value him.

History:
Roruzon was born at Alietran Weyr to a young woman who worked in the lower caverns and a then Candidate Ror’en. The two had been affected by flight lust and had never even seen each other again after their coupling. Nine months later Roruzon was born and his father had Impressed to a Blue dragonet, though the pair was later lost on their first trip Between. He was never really very close to his mother who left him to be raised in the crèche after he was weaned.

He was always a quiet child, he didn’t even cry much as a baby which often led to his mother and other caretakers thinking he was ill or otherwise unhealthy. However as he grew he became increasingly reckless and often got into trouble, not that he ever seemed to care much when he was punished. He would often do the same thing again in a few days’ time without a second thought. He disliked harper lessons enough to sneak off and explore more often than not and as such is only just literate.

Other than his trouble-making shenanigans his life was fairly uneventful until he was helping a Bluerider bathe and oil his dragon in his 13th turn (probably the only chore he would willingly do for he loved being around the dragons) and the dragon asked him if he wouldn’t like to stand as a candidate, because he would make a good rider. It was his first experience having a dragon talk to him and he had to check with his rider to make sure he wasn’t imagining it or something. After the rider ensured him the Blue had actually spoken to him and told him they were a Search pair, he decided he would become a candidate. He has been standing ever since, still quite sure he will Impress despite previous failures.

Now that he's Impressed to Blue Hortonth he is determined to put everything he has into the care of his dragon and is quite convinced they will become a great stunt flier pair one day.

Physical Appearance: Despite his small size at hatching, Hortonth will eventually be one of the largest examples of his color. His hide is a greyish blue (6B7A94) all over, and will have a tendency to crack and wrinkle, so his rider must be careful to oil him frequently. Hortonth has a long, tapered muzzle and his headknobs are larger then the average blue. He is an active dragon but hatchling chubbiness will translate into a "big-boned" build as an adult.

Personality: Hortonth's most notable quirk is his insatiable curiosity. His favorite question will always be 'why?'and the blue will pursue his answers tirelessly, disregarding such things as physical limitations and social niceties. Part of this curiosity is a desire to understand the world around him, and part is rooted in the need to move beyond the limitations others impose on him. Hortonth has a charming naiveté in his pursuit of knowledge and sometimes his rider may need to explain to him that some things shouldn't be asked for good reasons.

Hortonth is also an almost fanatically neat dragon. The blue will avoid messes where he can. Even at his hungriest, will attempt to limit the blood on his hide and nag his rider to clean things up quickly after his feedings until he learns to hunt. Closely related, Hortonth loves water. Even if he isn't being bathed, the blue will seek out the lake just to stand and enjoy the water.

Hortonth requires constant stimulation, whether it's mental or physical, and it's when he's at his most bored that he's apt to cause mischief-not the malicious sort, but possibly dangerous to himself.
