Physical Appearance: At 5 foot 7 inches and only 110 when soaking wet, Keal doesn't seem like much of a female, but what one doesn't see, one doesn't know. Under light clothing that doesn't cling, she is a very beautiful woman. Curvy and toned, she would have all eyes on her, if she showed off a bit, but that isn't Keal's style.

Like her mother before her, she has hair down to her shoulder blades. The mass of curly locks if black, flashes in the light, and is most unruly. There have been countless times Keal has thought about shortening it, but her mother has always stopped her. Now . . . It's just a matter of time before she removes most of the unruly mass. Her eyes flash deep brown, almost black at times. Because of her mother's skin tone, Keal was always called 'her mother's child' and never her father's.

At her home Hold, Keal had been training to become a Beastcrafter, due to her families history with the craft. Thus, years of being around the runners and other beast had turned Keal into a toned creature. And yes, I did say creature. She is thin, but not sickly; muscular but not fighting ready; fit but not overly so. She doesn't have much fat on, thus she gets cold easily. Hardly any fat on her doesn't apply to her breast, another gift from her mother's genes. They are soft and fleshy, more than a handful, but never been touched.

Personality: Keal is a rather interesting young girl. She has always been patient with animals and from time to time, it spills over to people. While her family worked so hard to keep her socialized, Keal always found herself alone and withdrew into herself whenever she was unable to get away. She is not one that goes out of her way to stay away from people. Taught in the ways of soothing animals and training them, Keal has a way with creatures, and more often than not, can be found in some beasts pin, or out in the woods. She has the scars to prove it.

Smart and bold, Keal is not afraid to speak her mind, though she doesn't do it often, simply because she has learned that her place within the Weyr may not always allow her to do so. Once Searched, she threw herself into her lessons, proving herself to be hard-working and determined, almost single minded in some cases.

When she isn't off on her own with the animals of the Weyr, or in lessons, Keal can be found hanging with her lizard and going over what records she is allowed to see and study. Not to withdrawn to be considered a book worm, but enough so that she is well learned in the Weyr life and what is needed.

History: Keal was born the middle child of five and the only girl, thus she was dotted upon by her father, but her mother was harsh on her and demanded much from her only daughter. Born to two members of the Beastcraft, her father being a Master, Keal's fate was already planned before she was even born, as were her four brother's.

At her home Hold, her family's name was well known, thus when she was finally able to go out and play with the other Holdbrats, her games were normally cut short by parents not wanting their children upsetting the only daughter of the Master Beastcrafter. This caused her to follow her brothers everywhere. Ciril, two Turns Keal's junior, would allow it, having seen how the Holdfolk had treated her, but it took Nalche, 20 Turns and the oldest, awhile to finally allow his sister to follow them. It had taken actually seeing Keal try to have a small conversation with a group of girls and the girls cowering and running away, crying, from her.

As a young girl, Keal was given little training in anything. Instead, she ran wild, due to being unable to make friends among the Holdbrats. Most of her friends were the herdbeast that her family cared for, and a few of the wild creatures that filtered through the Hold from time to time. As a child, she was fond of the wild firelizards that seemed to wink in and out of the forest near the Hold, but as a child, she never wanted to Impress one, as her mother had. That all changed when she was ten Turns and was given a firelizard egg by her father. The egg hatched a pretty little gold that she called Thief, for the little gold stole her heart at such a young age. After that, the pair was rarely seen without the other.

At four and ten Turns old, Keal was taken out to the herd pins with her entire family. She was able to watch her father break a young runner to a rider, while Nalche and Ciril tended to a young herdbeast that had broken its leg, but would still be good breeding stock. Her other two brothers, Lerrak (18) and Ciril's twin, Osban, had gone off to work with a bull that had been acting up. Hinod, Keal's father, had given Lerrak orders not to allow twelve Turn old Osban in the pin with the bull, but when Lerrak's back was turned, the youngster had slipped in trying to help. The end result had been the bull's escape and straight path for Nalche and Ciril, who just happened to be trying to help one of the bull's herdmembers. Hinod, upon the young runner, was unable to make it to the ground quick enough to help as his sons were attached by the bull. Several other Beastcrafters came running to help, but by the time the dust settled, Nalche had a broken arm and leg, and Ciril lay dead on the ground. The bull was taken back to his pin, finally settled once his mate was released. Osban never spoke after that day, and he never returned to the pins to finish his Beastcrafters training.

Shortly after Ciril's death, Keal was Searched and taken to Alietran Weyr, where she was given the choice of staying at Alietran Weyr. It was a hard choice, but it was something that she wanted and her father had always told her to do whatever she wanted. Thus, with Thief by her side, she began her life at Alietran Weyr.
