Hasth stirred slightly. She did not wish to awaken her rider or her mate, but she had to go now. It was time for her clutch to grace the Weyr at this point. She moved to the ledge and glided off to the Hatching Sands, her flight awkward and difficult. She should have stayed on the sands much earlier. It would have made things easier.
She made a humph of annoyance and that was that. she circled the sands for a moment, not entirely certain what she was doing ,but she felt agitated. Soon she settled, though and, shortly, the first egg was on the sands. It was white with some black speckling and a red streak on it. She did not have much time to stop or be concerned for the first of her offspring as yet another egg followed and another after it.
Cassondra awoke with a start, looked around the weyr she shared with A'lik and stood, dressing quickly and brushing her hair out quickly, not really caring that it was a mess, heading for the Hatching Sands. Hasth! You should have woken me up! She was running now, pulling on her thick boots as she went, attempting not to fall. She was headed straight for the Hatching Sands. By the time she had arrived, there were three eggs on the sands.
It was several hours later when the green nudged each individual egg into its place, positioning a large black egg nearest to herself. This one was special. She knew it. She crooned, tired, and lay down in the sand. "You did good, Love," Cassondra said to her, staying back a good distance, honestly afraid to touch the eggs. Hasth crooned, looking at her rider lovingly.
Hasth figured should tell Moruth and His.. Her mate would want to know that their eggs were safely on the sands now. She was far too tired right now to move or go anywhere, so, with her head still laying on the hot sands, she told Moruth of the children. Mymate, our clutch is here. It is safe here. Please tell yours.
1. Black Pearl Egg
The largest egg in the clutch, it is a deep black at the bottom and a very dark gray at the top with flecks of black and has a metallic and iridescent sheen that marks it as something special. It gives off an air of bold confidence and a certain aggression, though it seems to slowly ebb away when touched, though it still gives off a sense of distance and a certain dominance.
2. The Curse Egg
This egg is a gray tinted with blue. It is on the smaller end of the spectrum. It seems unimpressed by the world as well as somewhat distant and sad. It almost seems to weep when touched.
3. Dead Man's Chest Egg
This egg has a green gradated color to it, starting at a very bright green and moving down to a much darker green at the base. It has smoky gray swirls all over its shell and flecks of almost yellow here and there from top to bottom. It is smaller, but not the smallest. The air that this egg gives off is confident, royal air, though at the same time it has a sense of playful happiness.
4. Captain Jack Sparrow Egg
This egg is the second largest of the clutch and is primarily white in color with a red band that surrounds the entire length of the egg and has gray-black flecks across the left side of its surface. This egg gives off a sense of quiet happiness, shy and yet sweet and playful.
5. On Stranger Tides
This egg is a dark blue-green color. Its surface is entirely smooth and seems to lack any kind of markings at all, though there are a few spots of a more blue color that are difficult to see amongst the rest of the egg. This egg gives off an air of hyper active friendliness. It is the smallest egg on the sands, but decidedly the most eager.
6. At World's End Egg
This egg is somewhat larger, almost the third largest in the clutch. It is bright yellow in color with uneven green and red markings across its surface. It gives off an air of determination and arrogance. It seems to be high and mighty and give others the cold shoulder... but that slowly fades away when it is touched, making way for a warm feeling of love.
